Hello Friends & Neighbors of the 5th Ward,
I am in the middle of writing my last 5th Ward newsletter for the year. In the meantime, I have information to pass along to you....
The Garden City Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce that Santa Clause is coming to Nether Providence on Saturday December 15th & Sunday December 16th, touring the streets of the Fire Companies local. The Holiday Float has been a longstanding tradition of Garden City Volunteer Fire Company for the past 60 plus years! Every September the Fire Company's float committee members start the planning portion and the actual construction of the float starts in mid-October (with Santa of course overlooking the project from the North Pole).
Firefighters will be accompanying the float handing out candy canes to everyone. Santa who has taking time out of his busy schedule will be riding on the float, taking those all important present request. Come out and enjoy the fun…..
This year’s theme will take you back in time with the re-creation of the 1965 classic

Attached is a sample soliciting permit that Nether Providence Twp provides individuals when soliciting in the township. In order for an individual to receive this permit, they have to register with the township & police prior to soliciting. Each and every solicitor MUST have this permit on them with the appropriate sections filled out when soliciting in the township. If they don't, call the police. This doesn't apply to charitable and non-profit organizations.
