Up-Date From Our Commissioner Larry Baker

Hi Friends and Neighbors,

Some quick information to pass along.  My FACEBOOK page for the 5th Ward of Nether Providence Twp is up and running.  I will start adding information to it.  For those who have a Facebook account, the website is www.facebook.com/NetherProvidenceTownship5thWard.   Please "LIKE" my Facebook and keep updated on the happenings in Nether Providence Twp.

Also, an incident in Ridley Twp took place on April 1 in the housing development across the street from Bullens Field involving gunfire.  I have heard rumors that people think this incident occurred in Hepford Park.  I would like to be perfectly clear that this incident DID NOT happen in or around Hepford Park, or in the 5th Ward or in Nether Providence Twp, nor was Nether Providence PD notified.  Due to the close proximity the incident took place to Bullen Field, precautions have been put in place.  Please see below from an email from the Chief of Police and an email from Gene Tagliaterra, President of Nether Swarthmore Baseball.

Lastly, if you're still debating on signing your child up for the Nether Providence Summer Rec program, you may want to decide quick. The camp is 3/4 full.

There is a Commissioners committee meeting at 7:30pm tonight at the township building.
