Comcast Gives Back

Giving back. Powering dreams.

Reaching out to help our neighbors is the American way, and it’s part of Comcast’s DNA.
“Promoting community service” means more than just financial support. Every day, in small towns and large cities, our employees volunteer side-by-side with community partner organizations that make a real difference-including Big Brothers Big SistersCity YearOne Economy, local United Way agencies, Boys and Girls Clubs, the YMCA and many more.
Our signature celebration of community service occurs every spring:Comcast Cares Day.
We mobilize tens of thousands of our employees, their families and friends, to work alongside community partners and public officials. In 2011, nearly 70,000 volunteers gave more than 417,000 hours of service around the country-revitalizing neglected neighborhood parks, beautifying schools to improve the learning environment, stocking community food banks, and performing whatever other tasks are most needed.
Everybody wins when time and energy are invested in our communities.

"It’s a wonderful thing to have people work together for the benefit of others.” -Ralph Roberts, Comcast Founder, on Comcast Cares Day 2011
