Hi Friends and Neighbors of the 5th Ward,
It's been a long summer, and I am finally getting around to composing my next newsletter. I wanted to pass on some information to you:

On Saturday September 14, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm at the Strath Haven Middle School, I am coordinating the township's 2nd Annual Family Fun Day. Last year was a blast!!! There were games, prizes, DJ music, food at a minimal cost, fire and police departments, balloon twisting, face painting, the Strath Haven Robotics, an appearance by the Delco Cruisers Hot Rods and more. This year will be just as fun. I am looking for a few volunteers to help out. Even the volunteers had a great time, and it was an opportunity to give back to your community. If you would like to volunteer, please email me. I already have a number of volunteers, and if I can use your services, I will certainly let you know. See the attached flyer below.
Please, please, please take the opportunity to see the security lighting along the walking path up at Hepford Park a little after dusk. If you remember, I advocated for these lights for the last 2 years and finally received $45,000 from the county to install them. 14 lights in all. Not only do they provide a sense of security, they really give a warm feeling to the park and neighborhood. Check 'em out.
