Just wanted to bring you up to date on a robbery the occurred in the 5th Ward, the investigation and subsequent arrest.
Wednesday July 16, 2013 at approximately 1:30am a gunpoint robbery of a pedestrian occurred in the 700 block of Dover Ct. in the Garden City section of Nether Providence Township. An investigation was initiated by Det. Michael Erickson and two suspects were identified. Arrest warrants were secured for both subjects involved in the robbery. They were identified as Kailen Marquise Lebue, a 19 year-old male with an address in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Wallingford and an address in the 1900 block of West 7th Street in the City of Chester. The second male is a 16 year-old juvenile with an address in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Wallingford. Both were charged with Robbery, Possessing Instruments of Crime, Prohibited Offensive Weapons, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Possession of a Firearm.
Kailen Lebue was arrested on Sunday July 21, 2013 at approximately 4:00pm when the vehicle he was operating was stopped in the 300 block of Hastings Avenue in Wallingford. Lebue was taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile male was taken into custody on Monday July 22, 2013 at approximately 1:00am in the 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue in Wallingford. He too was taken into custody without incident.
Lebue and the juvenile, who is charged as an adult in the incident, were both arraigned in front of District Justice Stephanie Klein this morning. Bail for both subjects has been set at 10% of $250,000.00. Neither subjects were able to post bail and were remanded to the Delaware County Prison. A July 29th hearing has been scheduled at Media District Court.
