There is a Well Read fundraiser this Friday, April 19 from 7pm-9m at the Helen Kate Furness Library. I attached the flyer.

AFTER PROM FUNDRAISER. Springfield Ford Lincoln Mercury, located on Baltimore Pike, is kind enough to provide this fundraising opportunity to our seniors. With your help, the Strath Haven Class of 2013 can raise between $6,000 and $8,000 (in one day) to help fund after prom activities so our kids have a safe and fun place to go after the dance – a tradition for many years. For each test drive, the dealer will make a generous donation to the cause. Please understand that no salespeople will approach you or be on site. Join us for a brief test drive of the Lincoln line of cars – all right turns. Our goal is to have 300 test drivers*to raise the maximum amount possible! For every test drive, you will get a raffle ticket to enter into a drawing for an iPad. Date: Saturday, April 20 Time: 9 am to 4 pm Location: Strath Haven Middle School, Providence Road entrance * Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Drivers must each represent a different household or work place address. Other Activities: While there, you can also “Get Cash for Gold" (see attached flyer for details), shop Thirty-One for a new bag or gift, get a Yankee Candle or car airfresheners, grab a tasty cupcake, soft pretzel or two. Drug take back day is set for Saturday, April 27 at the Nether Providence Twp Police Station from 10am-2pm. Any old or unused prescription medication be be accepted, no questions asked.

The CRC (Crum Ridley Creek) cleanup day is set for May 4. Contact the township building for more information or www.crcwatershed.org. The Nether Providence Elementary School (NPE) Earth Day Event is set for Monday, April 29th at Hepford Field.

LOOKING TO MEET NEW MOM'S and KIDS??? There is an open house tomorrow April 19 from 11:45am til 1:30pm at the Thatcher Park - Tot Lot at Rutgers and Cornell Avenues in Swarthmore. Go anytime and snacks will be provided. Several 5th Ward residents will be there as well. I attached a flyer and is on my Facebook page.
