I just got word at 11am today that Nether Providence Township has made the decision to move Halloween Trick-or-Treating to Saturday, November 3, 2012. In conjunction with the township officials and the police department, and after assessing the current condition of the neighborhoods, this event has been postponed for the safety of the children of the community. There are still a number of downed trees and power lines, power outages, and road closures, as well as storm debris cleanup taking place throughout the Township.
